As an addition to this article http://www.morbidoutlook.com/fashion/articles/2001_07_customerservice.html write up where online you've had the best customer service, and the worst. Not limited to gothic sites.
I think the worst site I've ever ordered from was Blackrose. They have a lot of great stuff, but take forever (at least six weeks!) to ship and are TERRIBLE at communication. I ordered my first corset from them and got it in about 2 months. Then last winter I ordered a simple slip dress, and after WEEKS of not getting a shipping notification email, wrote to them to check that it had been shipped. They informed me that they didn't have the dress in stock and asked if I wanted my money back. It would have been nice to know this at the time I ordered it instead of waiting weeks later until I had asked!
Speaking of listing items that are NOT for sale, Good Goth is TERRIBLE for this. Every time I have attempted to place an order I was told that everything I had put into my cart was unavailable. WHY do companies do this??
Timeless Trends however is one of the companies that definitely stands out for me as being GREAT for customer service. They always respond to emails immediately, are very helpful, and shipping is very fast.
Goth Rosary is another. The store owner answers all emails herself, and in a way so friendly it's like she's one of your best friends, without being creepy about it. She also sends little gifts with every purchase. She's very open about the running of her company too, for example when she raised her prices, she clearly and apologetically explained why. I love this woman! _________________ "Unless you throw an anchor out into the future to pull yourself forward, you are a slave to your circumstances." -Chuck Palahniuk
